Evernote: A great note-taking app

evernote-logo-designThere was a time when I used to create notes either on a paper notepad or on Word docs on the computer. Ever since Evernote was launched, all that has changed.

Evernote is a great app to create, file and store notes. You can create text notes, audio notes, picture notes or checklists if you want to. The basic format is: You first create a notebook and in that notebook you create notes relating to that notebook. All similar notebooks can be inserted into a notebook “stack”.

Toggl: the simplest time-tracking App

toggl-logo-light-withbackgroundEver since I became an independent professional in early 2009 I’ve increased my focus on time-management. Because time IS money. It’s the new currency. And it’s the one thing everyone seems to be starved of. AND it is a perishable commodity!

Over the years I’ve experimented with multiple time-tracking apps and sites and I finally settled on Toggl because it is the simplest of the lot and yet so powerful. AND it is free.
